Lockdown Quartet with Donald Maurice and Rupa Maitra
October 20, 2021 at 12:15 pm - 1:00 pm
FreeAbout Family Lockdown Quartet:
Together with their parents Rupa Maitra (violin) and Donald Maurice (viola), Lucy and Gemma on violin and cello respectively formed the Family Lockdown Quartet during NZ’s level 4 restrictions period in 2020, starting with performances at a series of live zoom concerts to audiences from all over the world. Despite artistic differences and family discord, the quartet have managed to stay together and have performed live at public venues such as Te Papa, and at Wellington’s Eat, Drink, Play Festival. Their repertoire ranges from Mozart to 90s rock and beyond.
