    Liszt's famous 12 Transcendental Etudes S. 139 are an example of the pinnacle of Romantic piano literature, uniting technical complexity with symphonic scope, thematic transformation and a poetic conception of virtuosity and musicality. Quang Hong Luu is completing his doctorate in piano, studying with Jian Liu at the New Zealand School of Music.
