E NEWS 19TH JUNE 2026
Talofa lava. Our St Andrew’s office staff has been hit by unwellness in recent weeks. Sufficive to say so has our email. Many of you have been trying to contact us by email but it is currently down so we are all using our private emails to communicate with one another.
Our new livestream phone microphone worked a treat on Sunday and those of you who tuned in commented that the sound was loud and clear. Thankyou Sue for donating the microphone. Hooray.
Y Group Reminder
Don’t forget that Y Group (young adults and young at heart) meets this Sunday after church. Please bring a plate of food to share for lunch. These gatherings are always a highlight, with good food, good company, and plenty of stories and laughter. We look forward to seeing you there.
I got stuck in the lift on Sunday on the ground floor with Snoopy it was 9.50am and Sue and I were worried I wouldn’t be able to get out. My phone was also in the church so had Sue not been passing by I would have panicked. Any way after fiddling with the knobs I managed to send the lift back up to the 1st floor and the door opened, hallelujah. Even if we were able to get a technician out it will have been well over an hour before anyone could get there. I won’t be making that mistake again. My xray diagnosis came through on Friday that I have indeed fractured my coccyx so I was being overly cautious by using the lift. Will have to grin and bare it on Sunday mornings from now on too scary. The lift is fixed now.
This Sunday’s Hebrew reading is about Hagar and Ishmael being cast out into the desert. The theme of being cast aside and abandoned comes to mind. Let’s see what the next few days of contemplation brings up for us to reflect on this Sunday.
I’m in Auckland again for my brother’s Silver Anniversary and joint 60th birthday celebration with his wife. Praying I won’t get fogged in again as I’m on a 6am flight on Sunday morning. Hopefully this is the last trip for a while for me.
Please keep warm and enjoy the beautiful weather. See you on Sunday all going well. Ka kite ano, Fei.
