Election Issues: Thriving in this Land- a three-part series on Treaty, economic and climate justice
Where? St Andrews Centre, Conference Room 3
When? 11.30 – 1pm Sundays 11th, 18th & 25th October
Over the next three Sundays the Exploring Faith and Social Justice groups combine for three election-focused sessions based on the ‘Thriving in this Land’ workshop series created by Common Grace Aotearoa designed to help us join the dots between following Jesus and some of the big issues New Zealand is facing. Across three 90-minute open and collaborative sessions, we’ll explore how as a nation we can address poverty and the cost of living, respond to our unstable climate, and honour the Treaty. We’ll engage with theology, and hear from experts and people on the ground. We’ll discuss how to work towards a nation where everyone has enough, our earth is protected, and our promises are kept. We’ll watch a short video that introduces Thriving in this Land here. Join us for one or all of the sessions.
Session 1:The Treaty 11th October, Session 2:The Climate 18th October, Session 3:The Cost of Living 25th October. Let us know if you are coming so we can plan for numbers. Pat Booth (Exploring Faith) and Paul Barber (Social Justice Group)
