DESCRIPTION:We are celebrating the return of our Croft pipe organ\, now fully restored. Come and join us for a fun\, variety show that demonstrates the new sound and versatility of the organ. From Handel to Abba and Rimsky-Korsakov to Gershwin\, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Several renowned organists will perform including Paul Rosoman and Roy Tankersley\, Peter Franklin\, our Principal Organist and our team of St Andrew’s organists. In addition we have special guests: Larry Reese\, NZSO Principal timpanist\, Counsel in Concert (the popular lawyers choir) and a brass ensemble. Our own Jane Keller\, Mark Stamper and Richard Keller will also feature.\nBring your family and friends! \n

DESCRIPTION:www.colindecio.com and https://ingridprosser.weebly.com/piano–poetry.html \nPianist/Composer Colin Decio and Performance Poet Ingrid Prosser will be performing their own creations alongside well-known music and poetry from the 19th & 20th centuries. Chopin\, Grieg and poems by DH Lawrence from his 1923 volume Birds\, Beasts and Flowers will be interspersed with Preludes and Two Estampes by Colin and two poems by Ingrid. Colin’s Prelude for Anne Frank was written especially for the 2012 theatre work Souvenir d’Anne Frank\, performed throughout the UK\, with Colin playing piano in the onstage piano trio. Ingrid complements the work with her long poem Light Obscured – based on the events of a day in London when the theatre work was being performed at the Greenwich Theatre. \nMusic: \nChopin – C# minor Nocturne \nGrieg – Wedding Day at Troldhaugen \nDecio -Two Estampes and Prelude for Anne Frank. \nPoetry: \nDH Lawrence – poems from his 1923 Volume Birds\, Beasts and Flowers\, including his most well-known poem\, Snake. \nIngrid Prosser – Light Obscured and The Grey Sentinels \n  \n
