SUMMARY:Korimako Trio : Helene Pohl\, violin; Rolf Gjelsten\, cello; Michael Endres\, piano
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a concert to celebrate our first anniversary \non Nov 6 at St Andrew’s on the Tce at 7.00pm \nProgramme: \nThe concert opens with Zemlinsky’s Trio in D Minor\, a late 19th century example of Viennese Romanticism\, lyrical\, dense and emotionally expressive. This is followed by Janacek’s Violin Sonata (for violin and piano) deeply dramatic with folk elements.  A return to Romanticism with Chopin’s Introduction and Polonaise Brillante in C major\, for cello and piano follows and the concert concludes with Haydn’s Piano trio in A major (Hob.XV)\, bright and witty\, with plenty of classical charm. A beautifully varied journey through four distinct musical eras\, balancing full trio textures with virtuoso duo highlights. \nBookings at Humanitix: https://events.humanitix.com/korimako-in-wellington
