SUMMARY:Lunchtime Concert: Orion String Quartet
DESCRIPTION:A common interest in historically informed performance practice brought the Orion Quartet together to explore classical string quartets on period instruments. \nSince their first house concert in October 2016\, the quartet has performed many times in Wellington and has been proactive in masterclasses\, lessons and workshops with internationally renowned period instrument artists such as Sigiswald Kuijken (Holland)\, Aisslinn Nosky (Canada) and Catherine Mackintosh (England). \nConsisting of players from the NZSO and Orchestra Wellington\, the Orion quartet members get a lot of satisfaction from this music and look forward to sharing this beautiful music with you. \nAnne Loeser\, violin\nRebecca Struthers\, violin\nSophia Acheson\, viola\nJane Young\, cello \nF.J.Haydn Quartet Op.76 no.3 in C major “Emperor”\nAllegro – Poco adagio Cantabile – Menuett Allegro\, Trio – Finale Presto
