Well, we have made it through another week – easier for some – more difficult for others.  I hope you have managed  the week as best you were able.  It’s not always easy, but in terms of what is happening in other countries, we are managing quite well here.  It’s important for us to stay in our “bubbles” and stay at home as much as we can.  But it has been good on fine days to get out in the sunshine in the garden or around our local area.

Maxine and I joined the queue (2 metres apart!) at our medical centre to get our second “jab” on Wednesday.  It will be good when as many people as possible have been vaccinated.  It makes life a little safer for us and we are less likely to pass infection on to others.  I think that is something that is not always appreciated – that it isn’t just for ourselves but also for the safety of the community.  I hope you take the opportunity to be vaccinated when it is offered to you.

Life  at St Andrew’s goes on – but in a different way.   Adelina And Jillene are working from home and keeping things ticking over with answering queries and dealing with reservation.  We really appreciate the work they are doing.  Laetetia, who didn’t get away because of the lockdown, is continuing part-time to support Adelina and Jillene and to help us with Zoom meetings.

We had a Zoom staff meeting on Monday and another Zoom meeting tomorrow afternoon with Peter to see if we can have some music at the Zoom service on Sunday.  Isn’t modern technology wonderful!!

It is – when it works!  Some of you had trouble connecting last Sunday and we have made the following arrangements:   if you have trouble connecting at 10-00am ( and you can only connect when Zoom is “live” at that time) you can ring Lynne Dover on  029 279 8120   and she will try to talk you through the steps to connect.

I was thrilled at the number of people who managed to attend the Zoom service last Sunday.  At one point there were 58 households linked in.  We have another Service this Sunday morning and the link is:
