Project Margin

Project Margin supports those in Wellington city with a history of homelessness into stable accommodation.

Project Margin staff work closely with City Housing (WCC), Housing New Zealand and other agencies to find appropriate accommodation for clients.

A needs assessment is carried out when a client signs up to Project Margin.

Half of the clients come from situations of rough sleeping, literally from sleeping on the streets, in parks or the town belt.

Most people on Project Margin have long term alcohol or drug addictions or mental health issues that work against a successful move into independent accommodation.

Project Margin is currently funded by the WCC as part of the 10 year Strategic Plan to address homelessness.
